Pull Up Reggae: Libra Party takes over Vintage Space for five hours of reggae, dancehall, and birthday celebration. We’re honoring DJ Chalice, Winstrong, and Jah Yzer, with music by Jah Warrior Shelter Hi-Fi and DJ Chalice bringing the sound system spirit to the dance floor.
DJ Chalice is the resident selector behind Vintage Space’s recurring Pull Up parties. His musical background connects the reggae scenes of New York and New Jersey with time performing in Asheville, North Carolina, and more than 16 years behind the decks in the North Bay. That journey brings a broad musical perspective to a party rooted in reggae classics, dancehall, and the pleasure of finding your next favorite tune.
Jah Yzer brings decades of Bay Area reggae experience as a DJ, producer, and longtime member of Jah Warrior Shelter Hi-Fi. His work reaches beyond the booth: he co-founded Royal Order Music with King I-Vier, the label behind releases including “Selassie Souljahz,” featuring Chronixx, Sizzla, Protoje, and Kabaka Pyramid. His career connects the dance floor with the studio and the Bay Area with Jamaica’s contemporary reggae movement.
Jah Warrior Shelter Hi-Fi carries a sound system history stretching from New York in the late 1980s to California’s Bay Area. With roots in club dances, exclusive dubplates, and competitive sound clashes, the crew built its reputation through both championship wins and parties that keep the crowd moving. Their tradition pairs deep musical knowledge with the timing, personality, and selections that turn a room full of listeners into a dance.
Also being celebrated is Winstrong, a reggae vocalist, songwriter, and producer whose music bridges roots reggae and dancehall with hip-hop, R&B, and soul. His career includes touring with Don Carlos and Blackalicious, plus collaborating with Jah Yzer and Lateef the Truth Speaker in Roots and Tings. His connection to this celebration runs through years of shared music and creative collaboration.
Come ready for roots, bass, dancehall energy, and a proper Libra-season gathering. Whether you’ve followed these artists for years or you’re discovering the sound for the first time, bring your crew, celebrate the birthday massive, and find your place on the floor.
